Your choice
If you have a digital camera, you upload your digital image onto the website.

If you use film camera, you can ask the developers to copy the negative(s) onto a digital file on a CD, and you can then upload this digital image. Or you can use a scanned image from a print.

You can even send us a photo by post (send us an email first to enquire, if you wish to do this).

Quality is in the detail
It needs to be as high a resolution as possible (for example at least 3 mega pixels) as this helps the artist really capture the details and make a great painting. If it's a scanned image we need at least 500 dpi.

It also needs to be accurate with regard to eye colour, skin tones, and hair colour.

Errors and alterations to the original photo
Alternatively you can send us a note at the same time of ordering the picture, to point out if there are any errors on the photo which you need us to change (e.g. if we should ensure the model's eyes are blue, if they appear red in the photo), or can we also alter the colour of the subjects clothes, or the background of the picture, etc.

There is no charge for minor alterations.

If there are any small items in the picture which it is crucial are emphasized in the artwork, tell us also (such as a ring, or medal).
